Free SnowFest tickets for Pembroke Pines residents go out Tuesday at two city centers, six per household. Bring a driver's license and a city utility bill.

Free tickets to SnowFest, the city’s holiday festival and tree lighting, go out Tuesday, Nov. 10. Pembroke Pines residents must pick them up in person at one of two city recreation centers.

The festival runs from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, 601 City Center Way. The tree lighting is at 6:30 p.m. Everyone who attends needs a ticket, the city’s SnowFest page says.

Where to pick up tickets

The city lists two pickup places and their hours:

Place Address Monday to Friday Saturday and Sunday
Pembroke Lakes Tennis Center 10500 Taft St. 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
TownGate Recreation Center 901 NW 155th Ave. 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The hours come from the city’s SnowFest page. The city’s Oct. 28 announcement names the same two centers.

What to bring

The rules, from the city:

  • SnowFest is for Pembroke Pines residents only.
  • Bring proof of residency: a driver’s license and a Pembroke Pines utility bill.
  • The limit is six tickets per household.
  • Tickets are free and handed out first come, first served while they last.

Last year, every ticket was gone before the day. The city reported that all SnowFest 2025 tickets had been distributed ahead of the Dec. 6 event.

What it means for you

  • If you want to go, plan a trip to the tennis center or TownGate soon after Tuesday.
  • Take both documents. The city’s page asks for a driver’s license and a Pembroke Pines utility bill. Questions go to the Special Events Office at 954-392-2116.
  • Each household can collect up to six tickets, and every person attending needs one.
  • No pets are allowed at the festival.

What happens at SnowFest

The city’s SnowFest page promises:

  • “tons of snow” and 10-foot dual snow slides
  • more than 400 singers and dancers on the holiday stage
  • photo areas with Santa, Mrs. Claus and elves
  • an Ugly Sweater Contest and a gingerbread house contest for six families
