Eight new food businesses in Pembroke Pines passed their state licensing inspection between July and late September 2026, all of them on Pines Boulevard. A licensing inspection is the visit the Division of Hotels and Restaurants makes before it licenses a new restaurant or one under new ownership; every one of these ended with “inspection completed, no further action.” Opening dates can come days or weeks after the inspection, so check with the business.

How new businesses get licensed in Pembroke Pines
From the city’s Local Business Tax Receipt page:
- With limited exceptions, every person or company operating in the city needs a Local Business Tax Receipt, issued each year for Oct. 1 through Sept. 30.
- Commercial businesses must first get a Certificate of Use from the city; see the city’s Certificate of Use page.
- Some businesses, restaurants among them, need state permits before the city will issue the receipt.
- New businesses register in the city’s online Self Service Hub, where renewals and invoices are also handled.
The city also keeps a Shop Local business directory and a business relocation page through its Planning and Economic Development Department.
What we track each month
This page is rebuilt monthly from public records: state food service licensing inspections, city business announcements and ribbon cuttings the city or chamber publishes. A business appears here only when an official record or the business itself confirms it.
