Pembroke Pines has no historic downtown. Its civic heart is the Charles F. Dodge City Center, home of City Hall and the city’s festivals, and its main place to walk, shop and eat out is The Shops at Pembroke Gardens, an open-air “lifestyle center” at Interstate 75 and Pines Boulevard. The center describes itself as a Main Street-style setting where you walk between stores and eat on outdoor patios. It is owned and managed by Federal Realty.
