Father’s Day is Sunday, June 20, 2027, the day after Juneteenth. Pembroke Pines does not hold a citywide Father’s Day event, and no restaurant or venue had posted a 2027 Father’s Day plan when we checked. What the city does have is its own golf course, two brunch kitchens at Pembroke Gardens and, just north in Cooper City, Florida’s only velodrome.

Golf

Pembroke Lakes Golf and Racquet Club, 10500 Taft St., is the city’s own 18-hole course. The city says it opened to the public in 1969 and had a $7 million renovation in 2007. It has GPS-equipped carts, six sets of tees and a practice area with a chipping green, practice bunker and oversized putting green. The driving range hits off grass Friday through Sunday and artificial turf Monday through Thursday, and PGA instruction is available. Club Nineteen restaurant is on site.   • Brimstone Woodfire Grill, 14575 SW 5th St.: weekend brunch 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with steak and eggs among the dishes.

The county says its velodrome is one of three in the Southeast and the only one in Florida, and the park is also a stop on the Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail. Details on the county listing.
