Mother's Day in Pembroke Pines 2027: brunch, events, markets

Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 9, 2027. In Pembroke Pines the day usually means brunch, and the brunch spots are clustered at The Shops at Pembroke Gardens off Interstate 75 at Pines Boulevard. For an outing, Flamingo Gardens in Davie is a short drive north. No restaurant or venue had posted a 2027 Mother’s Day menu or event when we checked; we will add them as they appear.

Brunch

• Brimstone Woodfire Grill, 14575 SW 5th St., Pembroke Gardens: Saturday and Sunday brunch, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with dishes such as tres leches pancakes and steak and eggs, plus mimosas.
• Brio Italian Grille, 14576 SW 5th St., Pembroke Gardens: Italian brunch dishes with the full menu every Saturday and Sunday until 3 p.m. Reservations recommended.

An outing

Flamingo Gardens, 3750 S. Flamingo Road, Davie, is a botanical garden and wildlife sanctuary with flamingos, peacocks and other birds, open daily from 9:30 a.m. Its 2027 calendar listed the Exotic Plant Festival and Bonsai Show on April 10-11 when we checked, but no Mother’s Day event yet.

Closer to home, the boardwalk at Chapel Trail Park Nature Preserve, 19800 Sheridan St., crosses 450 acres of wetland and is free; see walking and biking trails.

Gift markets

• Flea Market and Bazaar at the Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center, 301 NW 103rd Ave.: more than 100 indoor vendors. In 2026 it ran Saturday, May 16, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sunday, May 17, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the weekend after Mother’s Day, with free admission and parking, according to the city’s notice. Some vendors take cash only.
• Farmers market at Pembroke Lakes Mall, Thursday evenings in the parking area west of Macy’s, according to the mall’s FAQ. See our farmers markets guide for others.
• Studio 18 Art Complex, 1101 Poinciana Drive, shows and sells work by its resident artists; 954-961-6067.

• Water Safety Day, Saturday, May 2, 2026, 10 a.m. to noon at the Pembroke Pines YMCA Aquatic Center, 1361 NW 129th Ave.: free pool activities, giveaways and a DJ.
• Mayor’s Chess Challenge, Saturday, May 9, 2026.
• National Kids to Parks Day, Saturday, May 16, 2026: free tennis in the morning and free swimming noon to 6 p.m. at three city pools.
