Attendance zone and feeder schools

The 2026-27 change. On Jan. 21, 2026, the School Board approved moving the part of the Charles W. Flanagan High zone west of Interstate 75 to West Broward, according to the district’s May 12 Redefining Our Schools update (PDF). The zone map says a high school student in that area who was not attending Flanagan in 2025-26 is assigned to West Broward from 2026-27 on.
Boundary choice area. The zone map marks a shaded area where students are assigned to West Broward “with a choice to attend Cooper City High.” Families there apply through the district’s Office of School Choice, 754-321-2480. High school students living in the Everglades land west of I-75, out to the Miami-Dade County line, are also assigned to West Broward.
Feeder schools. Comparing the district’s boundaries, Silver Trail Middle sends its whole zone to West Broward and makes up about 91% of the high school’s zone; the rest is part of the Glades Middle zone in Miramar. In Pembroke Pines, the Chapel Trail and Silver Palms elementary zones go on to Silver Trail and then West Broward, as does the Pembroke Pines part of the Manatee Bay Elementary zone. The Pembroke Pines part of the Sunset Lakes Elementary zone goes to Glades Middle in Miramar and then West Broward. Panther Run Elementary, which also fed Silver Trail, closed in 2026; its zone was split between Chapel Trail and Silver Palms.
Broward County’s boundary map data still draws the zones as they were before the 2026-27 changes, so the shares on this page apply the district’s Interstate 75 line to that data; the district’s 2026-27 zone maps and Find My School tool are the authority for any address.
