State report card

Florida grades every public school A to F. A school’s grade is the share of possible points it earns on state test results, learning gains and, for high schools, the graduation rate and college and career acceleration. The state’s 2026 file sets an A for a high school at 65% of points or more.

School year Grade
2025-26 A (66% of possible points)
2024-25 A
2023-24 B

From the state’s 2026 school grades file, the share of students scoring on grade level on the state tests in 2025-26:

  • English language arts: 65%
  • Math: 48%
  • Science: 77%
  • Social studies: 82%
  • Graduation rate (2024-25): 98%
  • College and career acceleration (2024-25): 65% of graduates

Attendance zone and feeder schools

The 2026-27 change. On Jan. 21, 2026, the School Board approved a feeder pattern change listed as “Charles W. Flanagan HS to West Broward HS,” according to the district’s May 12 Redefining Our Schools update (PDF). The district’s zone map says that from 2026-27 “the portion of the Charles W. Flanagan High boundary west of Interstate 75 will be transitioned to West Broward High.” A high school student in that area who was not attending Flanagan in 2025-26 is assigned to West Broward; students who were already at Flanagan can stay. The same day the board moved the matching part of the Walter C. Young Middle zone to Silver Trail Middle.

Feeder schools. Comparing the district’s middle and high school boundaries, the Flanagan zone east of I-75 is fed by:

The elementary zones inside it are Lakeside, Pines Lakes, Pembroke Lakes and part of Pasadena Lakes. Palm Cove Elementary, whose zone also fed Flanagan, closed in 2026; its zone was split between Lakeside and Pines Lakes.

Broward County’s boundary map data still draws the zones as they were before the 2026-27 changes, so the shares on this page apply the district’s Interstate 75 line to that data; the district’s 2026-27 zone maps and Find My School tool are the authority for any address.

What is proposed next. The district’s Oct. 6 workshop presentation (PDF) lists two options for Walter C. Young Middle: move its students into Pines Collegiate and Silver Trail Middle, or move them onto the Flanagan campus and make Flanagan a 6-12 school. The district plans final recommendations in November and School Board decisions in December 2026; nothing has been decided.
