State report card

Florida grades every public school A to F. A school’s grade is the share of possible points it earns on state test results, learning gains and, for high schools, the graduation rate and college and career acceleration. The state’s 2026 file sets an A for an elementary school at 62% of points or more.

School year Grade
2025-26 A (72% of possible points)
2024-25 A
2023-24 A

From the state’s 2026 school grades file, the share of students scoring on grade level on the state tests in 2025-26:

  • Third-grade English language arts: 67%
  • English language arts: 76%
  • Math: 83%
  • Science: 74%

Attendance zone and feeder schools

Check any address with the district’s Find My School tool or the Lakeside Elementary zone map (PDF).

The 2026-27 change. On Jan. 21, 2026, the School Board consolidated Palm Cove Elementary into Lakeside and Pines Lakes, according to the district’s May 12 Redefining Our Schools update (PDF). The zone map says students in the hatched area “are now assigned to Lakeside Elementary.”

Feeder schools. Comparing the district’s boundaries, Lakeside’s own zone goes on to Walter C. Young Middle and then Charles W. Flanagan High. The former Palm Cove area was zoned for Pines Collegiate Academy 6-12 and Flanagan; the district’s maps do not say whether that changed, so families there should check the Find My School tool.

Broward County’s boundary map data still draws the zones as they were before the 2026-27 changes, so the feeder patterns on this page apply the district’s 2026-27 changes to that data; the district’s zone maps and Find My School tool are the authority for any address.

Walter C. Young Middle is the subject of an Oct. 6 district proposal that would move its students to other schools; see its page. The district plans final Redefining Our Schools recommendations in November and School Board decisions in December 2026.
