A school’s grade is the share of possible points it earns on state test results, learning gains and, for high schools, the graduation rate and college and career acceleration. The state’s 2026 file sets an A for an elementary school at 62% of points or more.

Attendance zone and feeder schools

The 2026-27 change. On Jan. 21, 2026, the School Board consolidated Palm Cove Elementary into Pines Lakes and Lakeside, according to the district’s May 12 Redefining Our Schools update (PDF). The zone map says students in the hatched area “are now assigned to Pines Lakes Elementary.”

Feeder schools. Comparing the district’s boundaries, most of the Pines Lakes zone goes on to Pines Collegiate Academy 6-12 and a smaller northwest part to Walter C. Young Middle. The former Palm Cove area was also zoned for Pines Collegiate. All of it is in the Charles W. Flanagan High zone.

Broward County’s boundary map data still draws the zones as they were before the 2026-27 changes, so the feeder patterns on this page apply the district’s 2026-27 changes to that data; the district’s zone maps and Find My School tool are the authority for any address.
